A "Fresh Direction" for Supply Chain Planning in Post-Pandemic Markets
Recording of our June 17, 2021 event available below.

Every consumer on the planet became abruptly aware of the critical role supply chain had long played behind the scenes as staples like toilet paper and fresh proteins suddenly disappeared from store shelves.

As the pandemic slowly recedes, the transformative impact and lasting changes wrought upon supply chain strategy and operations is coming into focus. While some things will see a reversion to the mean, many more are irrevocably changed.

Field manager for online grocer Fresh Direct, Domingo Leon, shares first-hand experience with the overnight explosion of demand for e-commerce in the grocery business and the cold chain challenges stemming from this paradigm shift. He’s joined by NJTPA Director, Anne Strauss Wieder and NYCEDC’s Adam Lomasney for an insightful panel discussion on the long-term changes to supply chain patterns over the road, at the ports and airports.
In the webinar, topics included:
-
Regional Impacts of COVID-Driven Changes to Supply Chains
-
Trends Expected to Continue in the New Normal
-
“Fresh Directions” for Effective Operational Planning

Board member Sandy Vosk, President of Advantage Technology Solutions, moderated a panel of experts including:
-
Domingo Leon; NYC Field Manager at Fresh Direct
-
Anne Strauss-Wieder; Director - Freight Planning at NJTPA
-
Adam Lomasney; AVP - Aviation, Freight, and Logistics at NYCEDC

There was also a big focus on the current labor market, which, as a result of our polling question, was definitely a hot topic of discussion!
